About Me
I'm M A Hafiz, a Robotics Engineer based in Erlangen, Germany, focusing on robot manipulation, robotics simulation, failure-aware evaluation, and simulation-to-real transfer.
I completed my M.Sc. in Medical Engineering at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg. My master's thesis focused on gesture-based Cartesian and rotational control using EMG and IMU signals. The system was validated in MuJoCo and transferred to a real Franka robot for manipulation and insertion tasks.
I am currently developing ContactTrace AI, a failure-aware robotics platform for evaluating robot policies, identifying failure causes, generating targeted test scenarios, and supporting safer deployment decisions.
My recent work includes a persistent natural-language robot agent in NVIDIA Isaac Sim. The system maintains scene state across commands, detects blocked objects, removes obstacles, performs multi-step manipulation, and procedurally generates letters and digits without fixed robot-coordinate templates.
I work with Python, C++, ROS 2, Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, Gazebo, Franka, OpenCV, FastAPI, Docker, Ollama, and Qwen3 . My goal is to build reliable and measurable robotic systems that connect simulation, evaluation, and real-world deployment.
